DESCRIPTION:Looking for a career with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department? Join us at the Sheriff’s Fall Hiring Event where we will be hiring for Deputy Sheriff Trainees. Successful applicants can expect to be interviewed by a background investigator after completing the physical agility test. \nPlus\, we will have an information booth for non-sworn career opportunities within our department AND San Bernardino County HR will be onsite to answer any question about benefits and retirement options. If you are interested in Professional Staff careers\, no need to register ahead of time! Stop by our informational booth any time throughout the event. \nWalk-ups are welcome\, please wear athletic attire and bring your own water. \nRegistration Link – https://sbcsd-pat-101924.eventzilla.net/ \n  \nThe test consists of five events\, which are timed individually: \nEvent #1 – 99-YARD OBSTACLE COURSE \nRun a 99-yard obstacle course consisting of several sharp turns\, a number of curb-height obstacles\, and a 34-inch-high obstacle that must be vaulted. \nEvent #2 – BODY DRAG \nLift and drag 165-pound lifelike dummy 32 feet. \n**Event #3 – CHAIN LINK FENCE \nRun 5 yards to a 6-foot chain link fence\, climb over the fence\, and continue running another 25 yards. \n**Event #4 – SOLID WALL CLIMB \nRun 5 yards to a 6-foot wall\, scale the wall\, and continue running another 25 yards. \nEvent #5 – 500 YARD RUN \nRun 500 yards (equivalent to 1 lap plus 60 yards of a standard running track). \n  \n**Event is for assessment purposes only and will not be counted towards the overall score
